One Piece at a Time is the brand behind artist Jodi Rabinowitz, who creates vibrant, mixed-media collages using found materials from around the world. I helped develop her brand identity—logo, website conception, and physical media—to reflect her playful and eclectic style.
One Piece at a Time
While I did not execute the website, I ideated and conceptualized the layout and creative direction. For example, the idea of using paper and collages throughout the site (can specifically be seen on the process, about, and contact page), where to add animation, how to organize the images and in what layout. The website execution was done by Vinson Valega.
Website Conception & Creative Direction
When designing the logo for One Piece at a Time, I focused on capturing the layered, handmade feel of Jodi’s collage work. The organic shapes and playful type reflect her creative style, while the alternate logo offers a clean, flexible option for broader use. Note that the alternate logo has since changed hues from time of business card creation.
